How to improve your memory

People have needed to remember things for as long as people have existed. From Roman orators to computer programmers, It has been a useful skill to be able to remember large amounts of relevant information.

A lot of people regard memory as something fixed, something that they're stuck with for life.
How often had you heard people say:

"I've got a terible memory"

"Head like a sieve"

"I'd forget my own head if it wasn't tied on"

The problem with forgetting something is usually the fact that you didn't remember it in the first place.
Your brain has an enormous capacity for information. Every day you will recall and use enough information to make a supercomputer cry. But it's frustrating to find that the information you want right now wasn't stored properly when it should have been.

What most people don't realise is that memory can be improved. A body builder can exercise their arms and legs and over time make them stronger. In the same way, we will exercise our brains so that can do the things we need more quickly and more reliably.

People feel that as they age their mind deteriorates over time getting worse as they get older, but they worst cause of this is the brain's inactivity.
As you read through the following chapters you will quickly realise how effective these memory techniques are.

As you practise and improve you will find yourself well on the way to improving your study skills , job performance and always knowing exactly where you left those keys.
